Wild sauna · South Devon

A quiet heat by the water.

A wood-fired sauna that travels South Devon's rivers and beaches. Step in, slow down, let the heat do the work, then cool off in the open air or plunge into cold water. That's it. That's the whole idea.

Why we do this

Leave the screen behind. The embers have been glowing for hours. The air is fresh and the water is cold. There are no deadlines here, just the rhythm of your breath. For a little while, the world can wait.

No digital hum, no rush. Just radiating heat, wood smoke, timber and time.

The ritual

Three simple steps.
Nothing else.

How a session works →

— 01

Heat

Step into deep heat. Add water to the stones. Sink into the bench. Stay as long as your body asks for. Nothing more.

— 02

Cold

Cool down your way. An air bath. A gentle dip. A quick dip. Or a sustained dip in the cold.

— 03

Rest

Breathe, rehydrate and settle. Let your body find it's baseline for the next round.

"I got out of the plunge pool, sat down by the sauna, wrapped up in my dry robe and realised I hadn't thought about anything for twenty minutes. I can't remember the last time that happened."

Rosie — Totnes

The fire's lit.
The water's cold.

Sessions run Friday to Sunday, check location, dates and time on the website. Sauna hats and the good kind of silence included.
